I come from Latvia. I started this page when I was an exchange student in Uppsala, Sweden. Because I had plenty of free time, I decided to create my home page. This is my first such attempt and it may take a lot of time until this page looks really good. |

I was born in Limbazi, a small town in northern part of Latvia. It happened on May 23, 1974. The first 18 years of my life I spent in local educational institutions. My favorite was Limbazu 3. vidusskola. We had a really great time there! |

Right after school I had the most remarkable year of my life - I was sent to Sweden. There I spent a year in Rodengymnasiet, Norrtälje. This year helped me to decide what I want to do in the future. |

I applied for studies in Latvian University. I passed the exams and the next four years spent studying political science. After these years, because of habite, I guess, I decided to add two more years and leave Latvian University with Master's Degree in Political Science. It is expected to happen in spring 1999. |

However, it seemed a bit boring to sit in the same place for six years, so I spent the first half of 1996 in Hull University, England. Unfortunately I didn't meet so many English people, so I definitely must go back there some time. |

In 1998 I came to Sweden
to study political science together with 19 people from different countries.
Our program was called The Program of International Studies and it was
coordinated by Department of Peace and Conflic research in Uppsala University. Now I am back in Latvia and trying to find my place here. |

I like many things in this world. One of them is music. Here are some of my favorite lyrics sites. I also devoted a special page to one of my friends who is leading the best Latvian traditional music band Lauku muzikanti. |

Latvians are not only good singers, they can play also icehockey! We won United States in the last World Championships!! |

The screen takes a lot of my time. Both TV and computer. Here are the best news sites. I like also good movies and TV shows. Here are my favorites - X-files, NYPD, ER. |

Political science has such a wide field of research. It was not easy to decide what I am interested in. Right now I am occupied with conflict resolution. |
