Political science in Latvian University

Political science in Latvia has quite short history. The first group of students started to study political science in Latvian University in Fall 1992.

The short history means that the program is still in development. The Department of Political Science tries to grasp the experience of other universities and decide what is best for Latvia.

Now the Department of Political Science has moved together with other departments of Social Sciences in a new building. It has left the old building and maybe some old traditions behind and tries to become a place where people can get modern education.
